The world is beset by the appearance of monstrous creatures, but one of them may be the only one who can save humanity.
In 1999, the Janjira nuclear plant was mysteriously destroyed with most hands lost including supervisor Joe Brody's colleague and wife, Sandra. Years later, Joe's son, Ford, a US Navy ordnance disposal officer, must go to Japan to help his estranged father who obsessively searches for the truth of the incident. In doing so, father and son discover the disaster's secret cause on the wreck's very grounds. This enables them to witness the reawakening of a terrible threat to all of Humanity, which is made all the worse with a second secret revival elsewhere. Against this cataclysm, the only hope for the world may be Godzilla, but the challenge for the King of the Monsters will be great even as Humanity struggles to understand the destructive ally they have.
Its been almost 9 years since the last Godzilla visited NY area. So I was definitely looking forward to this movie. The repeating of trailers to the release left me on edge. After the movie, I did very much enjoyed it like most big Godzilla fans around the world with a few exceptions. I thought also that big G had less time on the movie then the MUTO creatures who I thought posed no real threat to Japan or NY. There only objected was to procreate with no real origin, and powers?!?!?! EMP?! They could have done better then that or choose of monster(s) to face the obvious strong Godzilla. They stood no chance at all. As for Godzilla himself, look great to me except for what it look like he put on some extra weight..lol. it was funny. I believe a sequel should definitely be under production with 2 different monsters for Godzilla to face and more viewings of who I thought was the star and main character to the movie…..GODZILLA. Hopefully it will get better.

I really can&#39;t believe anyone on this beautiful globe can think that this movie is good.<br/><br/>First the pro&#39;s: - CGI. Godzilla&#39;s looking fiiiiine!<br/><br/>The cons: 1 Those MUTO&#39;s are the bad guys and Godzilla the good-guy? 2 &quot;King of monsters: savior of our cities&quot;? 3 size is off more than once 4 Boooooooooring story 5 The entire train-scene. 6 Are those MUTO&#39;s having sex there? 7 When does the hurting stop? 8 Why? Just why does Godzilla puke out that blue stuff? 9 I don&#39;t want to talk about this movie ever again!<br/><br/>I want those 2 hours of my life back.<br/><br/>2 point. 1 for the trailers and posters and 1 for Godzilla himself.
Edwards manages to sustain a grim, cerebral atmosphere all the way through, as if fighting the inevitable demands of the material. The movie contains enough basic money shots to please hardcore Godzilla fans without indulging in them at every opportunity. By contemporary blockbusters standards, it's practically a minimalist enterprise.
No, this is a reboot of the Japanese Godzilla series from 1954. This film has no connections with the previous American remake. Godzilla will have several battles with the MUTO (Massive Unknown Terrestrial Organism) monster pair. There are scenes taking place in the Philippines, Japan, Hawaii, San Francisco, California, Nevada and Las Vegas. There are also some scenes that happen on the Pacific Ocean. &quot;Kyrie&quot;, from György Ligeti&#39;s Requiem (1965). It was also featured most famously in Kubrick&#39;s 2001 A Space Odyssey in a few scenes and was most famously the music played right before Bowman enters the wormhole. The budget was stated and is understood to be 160 million USD. This movie was filmed in 2D and utilized stereoscopic 3D conversion in post by the company Stereo D, LLC. This is the same company who converted big creature films Jurassic Park 3D and Pacific Rim. The designers of the opening titles probably wanted to have some fun with the theme of secrecy that&#39;s evident throughout the film so they created the credits to reflect that spirit.
